Back in October 2009 Sean and I were asked to participate in a gallery opening for The Studio Restaurant located within The Robert Mclaughlin Gallery. We were humbled and quickly conjured up a theme for our first gallery – Mothers.
From nurturing to chaotic, the Mother Talk collection captures a variety of mothers and their personal view on what motherhood means to them. The word of their choice was written on their bare skin in symbolic red lipstick.
Alongside the very talented Jeff Leech who showcased his collection of local musician oil painting portraits, we had an overwhelming response on opening night.
Below are the ten courageous mothers who volunteered their free time for us. You can view the photography and paintings while they are still displayed within The Studio Restaurant.
