I spent the afternoon meeting and mingling with other local entrepreneurs and listened to their stories. Wine makers, chocolatiers, jewelry saleswomen, event planners, mortgage specialists and graphic designers. It was a fun variety of fabulous women growing, branding and of course, networking! POWE is a great place to find other women in your area who are learning how to operate their business and might be able to help elevate yours. I've come away from my experience feeling positive and inspired to raise the bar for Lotus.
POWE was founded six years ago by two Canadian women who wanted to fulfill a need they discovered was very common in new business owners. A need for a relationship based networking organization... for women! Check out the site and find out where the meetings are in your area.
Now, I hate to sound like a little chubby bunny but one of the highlights for me was... wait for it... the catering! ha. Seriously, cute little sandwich triangles get me every time. Dang them delicious thangs. Sean and I like to think we have a pretty awesome tasting tuna sandwich recipe, but as cool as we are, ahem, we have never put granny smith apple chunks into our tuna mix. Why have we never done this before? Sooooooooo good!
I must say I'm grateful for my mom's life lessons about being open minded, I'm grateful for Karen and her ability to talk me into everything, annnnnd I'm grateful for triangle tuna sandwiches. Tuesday love to you all!
A little dance sequence from a December shoot with my nephew to get you through the day.
I LOVE! xo hahahaa
