How did you meet your significant other? At work? at the mall? on a bus? college? I've learned that asking that simple question to a couple allows them to relive an incredible part of their story. Usually they light right up, sometimes even break out in laughter. For me I get to paint the image as they recount every detail and I feel that I am able to connect with them on a much deeper level. When I asked Krista and Greg how they met, I was unprepared for the "straight out of the movies" response. Im talkin' a motorcycle collision with Greg's best friend in Asia lead Krista to a party where Greg was unknowingly waiting to meet her. That's the one sentence version, and I'm pretty sure Tom Cruise and the Mission Impossible crew were in the long one! ha, I joke internet, I joke.
After a beautiful ceremony in a Toronto church, Sean and I captured the bride and groom (along with their amazing maid of honor and best man...shout outs to them) being romantic, silly and real in Edward's Gardens. I couldn't have asked for a more patient - and fit...that Edwards Gardens has some serious stairs!- fabulous couple.
a peek at their day...
When I say Krista and Greg are cool, I mean... "are down for whatever crazy idea I may have at any given moment" cool. They are so flavorful and fun at the core of who they are. When I grazed past the notion of climbing out onto a slippery waterfall, Greg was all, "Heck ya I'll get in the water!" And with that my friends, I reiterate the fact that I HAVE THE BEST CLIENTS ON THE PLANET.
The best thing about the location the bride and groom chose for their creative photos was the variety. I wasn't sure what we were going to get when I heard the word gardens in the title, but this place is huuuuuge. So many nooks and crannies with all sorts of light. For this next selection of images, I was in creamy light heaven. I always tend to prefer a slightly overexposed photo in general, but sometimes the gods provide me with an abundance of natural light reflectors in soft pastels so that my one-stop over exposed technique comes out looking buttery like 30 year old film. I could have shot here all day! These two are completely gorgeous.
Such a sweet romance these two have. And just look at that BOW! Love.
Their cocktails and reception were held at The Factory Lounge in Vaughn. They could not have picked a venue more suited to their vibe and taste. Guests were treated to chef prepared hors d'oeuvres and a specialty purple martini in honor of the newlyweds in the hip lounge area before being seated for dinner.
I climbed up into the storage rafters to get an arial view of the grand entrance. I love the perspective, and the story it tells.

Krista and Greg, I think the world of you two and I truly wish you nothing but happiness. You both sparkle and shine and I'm so grateful Sean and I were able to be with you on such a meaningful moment in your lives. So much love.
it amazes me each time you capture each couple's wonderful day....fabulous as always!!!
