I loved this shoot for many reasons. I was reunited with an old highschool friend I hadn't seen in years (Jane) and was welcomed to bare witness of her devout love for Colin and Seven. The usual crisp October winds made way for a bright and very warm autumn afternoon. In fact, it being as bright as it was leads me to my third reason for being fond of this particular engagement session; I was challenged to shoot in a different way. There were soooo many interesting architectural lines and textures around that I basically abandoned my usual romantic/photojournalistic style and opted to use the incredibly bright, direct sunlight in a completely foreign way. Lucky for me, Jane and Colin rolled with it! what! what!
Next June these two lovers will make an honest child out of Seven when they pledge their vows and wed. I can't wait!
Ok I know what you are thinking ..."Amanda, these next few are clearly not your style"... and you're right. totally not my usual shooting style. But I couldn't resist the scenery. lines, lines...everywhere there's liiiiiiiinnnnnes!!
