A KORTRIGHT WEDDING : LACEY AND SHAWN.

A soft sprinkling fell through the forest canopy just as a proud father walked his little girl to her patiently awaiting groom. It's said to be good luck when rain occurs on your wedding day, and even so, I'm incredibly glad Lacey and Shawn chose to see each other prior to the ceremony and have all of their photos taken before a single guest arrived.

We had beautiful overcast skies with moments of sun and warmth. It was perfect. Actually, it was the first time Sean and I had a couple opt for a "first look" and the benefits were positive all around.

The ceremony was held at the edge of the woods belonging to the Kortright Centre in Vaughn, Ontario. Intimate with rustic charm, guests were seated beneath the soaring trees and witnessed Lacey uniting with her love, Shawn. Immediately following, cocktails were had in a glass encased reception room where stars and twinkling lights slowly brought in the night. After heartfelt teary eyed speeches and soft romantic first dances, Lacey let everyone know it was time to party. Sporting the cozy Uggs she rocked the whole day through, that little country girl lead her friends line dancing to the Boot Scoot Boogie. And like a true man that he is, Shawn got himself a drink and cheered her on from the sidelines.

These two have been together for many years already, but here's to an eternity more... I couldn't have asked for a better bride and groom to spend the day with, thank you Lacey and Shawn for the immense honour.

  2. What a gorgeous fall-inspired wedding! The picture of the bride getting ready to put on UGGS made me laugh. I just did a post about UGGS and brides on the blog. Wish I'd waited now so I could have referenced that photo. Maybe I still can...? Amazing, as always, Amanda! XO
