Sean and I have a slight -sliiiiiight addiction. I'm just gonna say it out loud so it's off my chest, we are officially Olympic Addicts. Seriously. It's extreme. To the point of planning our day around must see events. Even when we are out running errands, we are trying to find a radio station that is broadcasting the latest results and standings. It's not really our fault, we are two proud Canadians who marvel in the abilities and endurance of these athletes, and feel especially patriotic knowing one of our great country's beautiful cities has the honour of hosting the world.
This past weekend we decided to hit the cross country trails up north and put our own skills to the test. Neither of us had been on X-Country skis since childhood so we were prepared for the bronze at best. Ha.
Actually, I was pretty impressed there were no epic fails or hilarious Funniest Home Video worthy falls. We were not too bad. I mean considering we had to make do with no cow bell on the side lines as we attempted some moderate hills, I think all-in-all, you may just see us in Russia for the 2014 "not-too-shabby" category. It's going to be huge.
My last thoughts? GO. CANADA. GO!
We stopped briefly to self-timer a few shots of us...
