ANTHONY HOWELL.

"Subtle, slightly weird and open for interpretation... all while being shot within a retro basement." These small requests from Anthony were the basic ingredients of his artist promo session.

Before being formally introduced to Anthony Howell I had definitely noticed him within our musical community. The first reason being his keen fashion sense. Seriously, quite possibly the most well put together musician around... AND HE'S A BOY. Second reason being, this man can sing! After meeting and spending some time with him I love him even more for being on my level when it comes to humour. He's quick witted and I like it.

For the following image I had an idea in mind to have Anthony holding a painting over his face and doing a little side kick in the air. While testing my camera settings to ensure my shutter speed was fast enough to capture the motion, I had Anthony jump straight up. The resulting photo came out looking like he had been hung on the wall like a piece of art. There was no need to proceed with the original side kick idea.

One of my favourite experiences from this shoot was Anthony's basement. The walls are completely decorated with memories that expand over six decades. Photographs of friends and family that I spent most of my time admiring.
