GEORGINA ISLAND.

I shoot... a lot. Believe me I love what I do, but sometimes I envision concepts outside from client sessions that I would like to see brought to life. For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated with Native culture and recently I approached an acquaintance of mine and proposed she model for me. I wasn't even sure she would remember meeting me a few years back let alone agree to be my muse. Kelsey is quite simply, stunning. Look at a photo of her and you ooooh and ahhhh over how beautiful she is... talk to her for five minutes and you feel how incredibly wonderful she is as a person. Truly one of the most kind and genuine women I've had the pleasure to know.

A short air-boat ride across the frozen lake to the Island where Kelsey resides kick started our day. I brought Lacey McGowan with me for make-up perfection and Sean of course for all other support (including video recording my uneasy reaction to the start of the boat ride – yikes).

Racing the rain, we were lucky enough to have Kelsey pose in authentic traditional leather and furs! Can we talk about that head piece... ooooh-emmm-geee. This shoot was amazing, and completely just for my own heart. I definitely want to do another with Kelsey, hopefully this summer. So you just might see a volume two of this Native spread.
