There is absolutely no better occupational perk for me than when a bride becomes a friend. Emily and I began emailing back and forth almost a year ago discussing the details of her wedding plans and the possibility of Sean and I photographing the day. We meshed instantaneously as if we had been best friends in a past life. Being as bubbly, energetic and outgoing as she is I was expecting to meet Wes and find that he is just the same. Wrong. With a strong masculine and reserved presence Wes chose his words carefully and didn't give a hint one way or another if he liked us or hated us. There was something very reassuring in his approach, and I've realized it's because I do the exact same thing. When Im introduced to new people or situations, my organic nature is to be a sponge. I sit back analyzing, reading into body movement, mood and conversation to conclude how I feel. A very rock solid exterior gives way to a massive heart that Wes simply can't hide.
With their wedding day fast approaching, we headed out in their hometown of Newcastle to capture some engagement photos. They are both such genuine and humble people to be around Sean and I again were reminded why we love what we do so much. Plus, they rocked their shoot like bonefide models!
Emily... Wes... we adore you two and can't wait for your September wedding. Thanks for being as wonderful as you are.
I truly believe the prettiest girls are always the happiest girls. Emily is one very happy girl, and I think she showed my camera her whole heart in this next image. Beautiful.
A scribe of "keep west" on the pier wall was quickly manipulated into "keep Wes" for a few fun frames. Wes you're such a champ.
Look at these two, I mean c'mon they brought their A game... babes.
Beautiful!
