CARSCAPES.

I woke up this morning feeling especially inspired. Before even pulling myself away from my warm, white, fluffy sheets I read an interview on a photography blog via my cell phone that took my flutters of inspiration to soaring new heights. I ate my cereal with a smile, brewed a fresh pot of coffee and sat down in my perfect little office to blaze through the many items on my "to do" list. After sending a good morning email to my love, I began to wonder why today felt so special - right from the get go. I mean, its a Wednesday like any other, its pouring buckets of rain outside and Im alone in my house with a ba-jillion things to do. On paper- today doesn't sound all that spectacular to me. But for some reason the inspiration bug has bitten...hard!

I definitely do not feel like this everyday. Somedays someone should slap me just to get my head in the game. I can get moving so fast trying to check off each task on my bottomless list that I'm like a freight train failing to yield for a moments rest. And then there are the moments when life seems to stand still. When my head and my heart are synchronized and Im overwhelmed with appreciation for all that inspires me.

What inspires me you wonder:

- People. The ones I know and love and those who are strangers to me.
- Photographs.
- Nature.
- History.
- Art.
- Music.
- Food.
- Interior Design.
- A good film.
- True stories of struggle and success. The lessons we can all learn from both.
- The Human Spirit.

Im grateful for inspiration and the fire it ignites.

Driving to my parents home in the country never fails to produce some of the most beautiful Canadian scenery. Often I will fumble around to grab my blackberry and snap a photo as I ride by. The quality is horrible, but I can't help it. Soooooooooo... In light of my feeling like a bouncy Disney character today, I thought I would share 5 recent "carscapes" as I call them, in hopes that all of you out there take notice of what inspires your life.

Happy Wednesday!

*sidenote - you'll notice most of the photos are a brilliant stormy blue-grey. It isn't that dramatic here everyday, they just happen to be my favourite kind of sky.
