TO BREATHE OR NOT TO BREATHE.

It's Wednesday. Which makes my Jose Villa Mexico Workshop a mere 3 days away. Im kind of...oh how do you sayyyyy...terrified? ya terrified. But not the kind of terror en-crouching drug lords and murdering gangs impose, the kind only a kindergartner could relate to. The feeling of inadequacy, and appearing dorky. hhhhhhhhhh. I thought these school aged moments of insecurity were long gone with my fanny packs and hyper-colour shorts.
What if I forget something? what if I don't bring enough gear? What if I don't take great photos when it's my turn to have 3 minutes with the models? what if I can't remember the questions I've been wanting to ask? What if when I shower, a little bacteria water gets in my mouth? Have I mentioned flying yet? (sidenote: MOM, do you see how my list of fears has no extra room for petty worries such as international kidnapping or Hep A? do ya?)

So naturally, as my body goes into survival mode and attempts to escape the self induced stress, I turn to random comedy outlets in hopes of avoiding reality altogether. ahhhhhhh. Thats better.
I love blogs. I love wedding blogs and photography blogs but I especially love random personal blogs. The kind you find by accident like a hidden little gem or Sean's pocket change in your car.
I have a total guilty pleasure blog which I like to neglect for weeks at a time and save my visits for when I really need to laugh. And then I spend hours devouring it's simple genius.

I came across Wait In The Van a few months back and immediately became a follower. Although the writer, Kristine, typically posts about common family issues and bouts with society, her clever style and smart ass comments are a perfect combo. Somedays I do that laugh where it starts as a smile and a nod to my computer screen, and then in the next moment I can't even open my eyes to wipe the funny-tears away and Sean suggests CPR until I catch my breath. Frig I love this woman and her hilarious stories. I want to invite her over. But not just like, " Hey it's Tuesday, come over for tea", no no, I want her to come over when things are chaos like Christmas dinner or Jeopardy night.

Today is that day when I need Wait In The Van (in between my 5Km long to-do list obviously). I can't wait to see what kind of Shenanigans Kristine has gotten herself into this time. If you're looking for an incredibly well written and hilarious time waster (I mean that in the nicest way possible) try Wait In The Van. It's kind of like a warm hug on a cold day. If the warm hug was sarcastic as hell.

C'mon, lets go together...
