She's the yin to his yang, his gentle nurse and soft voice of reason, the one who balances his testosterone and provides loving arms to collapse into. And to Emily, Wes is the moon and the stars. I almost gasped aloud when during his speech of thank-you's, Wes turned to Emily's father and said, "I love her. It's forever - and I wont let you down." Good God.
When Sean and I arrived to Deer Creek Golf Course where Emily and her ladies where readying themselves, there was an abundance of calm and quiet. Emily had long been awaiting this day, the day when she became a wife to the man of her dreams.
The ceremony began with a live bagpiper song – fully leading the bride and her bridesmaids down the aisle. A beautiful and intimate service with only their closest friends and family in attendance.
Wes arranged to incorporate a vintage police car into the day and it made for a handsome sidekick during our creative bride and groom photos. Many thanks goes out to Dave, the couple's close friend and driver of the car, for sticking around and graciously holding jackets and bouquets when needed. Thaaaaaaaanks Dave!
Although the weather was touch and go for a while, I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my day on September 3, 2010. To Emily and Wes: Enjoy being newlyweds in the warm sun of the Mayan Riviera. Soak up the serenity, you deserve it!
So much love.
*On another note, we've just added a new feature for our fabulous wedding clients to effortlessly share their photos with loved ones online (they can even tag friends directly on Facebook). In addition to the official blog post, a personalized page dedicated just to the bride and groom will be designed showcasing a slideshow with many more images from their day and a link to their engagement post as well. Join us on our Facebook Page to view these as we create them.
And now a glimpse of Emily and Wes' wedding bliss...
I love love love this ring shot that Sean captured. "krrrrchhhhh roger that".
For someone who claims to dislike having his photograph taken, I'd say Wes brought his A-Game.
Fierce. Fierce. Double Fierce.
As usual, these pictures are stunning! Amanda and Sean, you have quite a gift for this. Isn't it amazing when you can turn what you love to do/have a passion to do into a career?Bravo to you both, on a job very well done!!
